Instead of simplifying complex combinations and interactions when analysing a task, the TRIZ methodology allows even highly complex and multi-dimensional interconnections to be clearly explained. The complexity of a task itself becomes the prerequisite to finding the best solution.<\/p>\n

The distinction of solving an inventive, not design, problem is important to note. Consider a diagram indicating the complexity of problems arising during the implementation of some innovation project, displayed in Figure 2. Most of these problems are solved by ordinary design methods, without using TRIZ. But there may arise some complex problems unsolvable by traditional methods. This is where TRIZ is employed.<\/p>\n
