I find the screen setting of Steve Brunton’s online course on Control Bootcamp interesting: he can just look directly to the screen for writing and explaning, at the same time he is facing directly to the audience.

I guess the setting for the studio is as follow:

 

Notice that when his hand is behind the handwritten text (by chalk), it doesn’t make the chalk brighter. But when his skin is behind a part of the projected screen, that picture gets brighter -> because the skin gives some more reflection on the projected light. Hence such picture should be caused by a projector pointing directly toward him, not by displaying on a special TFT screen.

This setting is very nice, convenient for the lecturer, that serves perfectly online audiences.
